What customers want to know about online hypnotherapy pricing

Hi! I’m a certified hypnotherapist offering online and in-person hypnotherapy sessions. As a new practitioner, I get a lot of questions from folks interested in exploring hypnotherapy online or in person. I’ll be taking some time to answer them here. Have a question of your own about hypnotherapy practice? Get in touch

Of course, one of the first considerations for most folks is the bottom line. When searching for a qualified hypnotherapist, you want to know much you can expect to pay. There’s a surprising range in the rates charged by hypnotherapists, and more expensive doesn’t always equal higher quality.

At Sentinel Hypnotherapy, I charge $150 per session. That’s true for both online and in-person hypnotherapy sessions. These sessions last 1 hour, and the vast majority of clients achieve their goals within 4 sessions.

Crunching those numbers, spending $600 to solve a problem that’s been years in the making might sound pretty enticing. The average smoker who quit by using smoking cessation hypnotherapy? They’ll save that much on cigarettes in the first year alone. How much money, time, or well-being are you leaving on the table by delaying your own progress?

Some other related questions I get:

Are online hypnotherapy sessions and in-person hypnotherapy sessions priced the same?

Yes, online hypnotherapy sessions and in-person sessions are generally priced the same. While the in-person sessions have higher overhead costs involved, it’s easier and more straightforward for most certified hypnotherapists to price sessions equally.

Does insurance cover hypnotherapy sessions?

This deserves a blog post of its own! In short: check with your provider, but probably not. However, if you have an HSA/FSA plan, there’s a good chance you can use those funds to pay for hypnotherapy.

I can’t afford to do this right now. Do certified hypnotherapists offer any financial aid options?

There *are* plenty of hypnotherapists who will offer sliding scales or payment plans to those in need. If you’re ready to make a change in your life and the only barrier is financial, reach out to me and let’s talk.
